Spitting Blood - C215

Spitting Blood / C215

May 5th – May 28th 2017

Opening Reception Thursday 4th May, 6-9pm

StolenSpace is proud to present ’Spitting Blood’ the new solo show by C215.

Parisian street artist C215 (Christian Guémy) has been working within the scene for over 20 years. Having taken over StolenSpace previously with his solo show ‘Back to Black’ and shown work in multiple solo shows (Reasons for the Seasons, LAX/LHR) we are excited to see what he has install next with this new series of works.

“I try to interact with context, so I place in the streets elements and characters that belong especially to the streets. I like to show things and people that society aims at keeping hidden: homeless people, smokers, street kids for example.”

His elaborate stencil work can be found in cities around the world, including New Delhi, London, Istanbul, Fes, Rome, Barcelona, and his home town of Paris.

His striking portraits of local people, children and famous characters and personalities are expressive and distinctive in style. His subjects are portrayed with a proud dignity, something which has become as recognisable to his style as his delicate stencil work.

Here is below a selection of artworks presented during "Spitting Blood".
