Here Comes The Change
/Shepard Fairey was inspired to create this portrait of Kesha based on the powerful lyrics in her song, “Here Comes The Change” and the fact that this song is in support of the film On the Basis of Sex - telling the story about Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s fight to overturn a century of gender discrimination.
" I’m honored that I was considered for this as I believe in the message of both the song and the film, because I believe in gender equality and women’s rights. Prejudice is so insidious and pervasive that most people only recognize the most inflammatory instances of sexism if they recognize it at all. As a husband and father of two girls, I want to see women treated with equal dignity and respect, with access to the same opportunities and wages as men.
