"Delusionville", a new exhibition by Ron English has opened at Allouche Gallery in NY. The show is depicting an aggressive reinterpretation of pop culture through the eyes of an artist mesmerized by the spectable of chaos. The exhibition features more than 20 works created over a period of three years incorporating English's iconic characters making their way through metamorphic landscapes and dealing with delusions of ecstasy and heartbreak. Additionally, the exhibition features a series of collaborative works with singer, songwriter and artist Daniel Johnston. English and Johnston met in 1983 and over the course of their 30 year frienship have collaborated on art and music numerous times.
